Job Description
As a Fast growing company, Printlab is now seeking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager to run our production hub in Kuala Terengganu who is required to overseeing the entire production process from start to finish. Reporting to the managing director, ensuring the jobs are completed on time, on budget and meets the company quality standard.
We have high expectation on product quality and lead time control and end users expectations in level of service and customer satisfaction has been the driving factors behind the company’s continued success and growth. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in a previous Assistant Production Manager role within printing industry and supervised a fast paced department of at least 10 staffs.
Job Description:
1. Make efficient use of the company workflow to manage production output and dispatch process .
2. Being hands on to understand the variety range of printed products from produce to finish.
3. Monitoring and eyes on different departments: sourcing, printing, finishing, packaging, warehouse and dispatch
4. Corporate with the sales team to achieve the target set out in annual business plan.
5. Continued reinforcement of product and quality upgrade as well as cost improvement activities.
6. Ensure work safely in all work activities.
7. Responsible to QA the products, making sure the company standard quality are maintained.
8. Monitor daily production operations and ensure the work is performed as planned.
9. Modify or recommend ways to improve operation workflow and efficiency.
10. Identify problems and find a way to resolve the issues.
11. Printer and machines maintenance, regular checkup and ensure the printer are in good condition in all the times.
12. Other ad hoc project by the Management.
Requirement:
1. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience to lead team of 10 staffs.
2. Experience working with digital printers, large format printers, knowledge of finishing techniques and process is a bonus.
3. Experience working in a multi- cultural environment.
4. Planning, organizing skills and decision making capability.
5. Attention to details and quality control, responsibility and accountability for productivity and quality of workmanship
6. Verbal, written communication skills.
7. Good general computer operation skills and basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
8. We highly prefer candidate who keens to work together with the team, this is a hands on position not only just managing the team and reporting.
